About the PresenterSteve Wood is product manager for CICS Transaction Server - IBM's industry leading transaction processing platform. He is currently responsible for definition, communication and execution of the strategy for CICS Transaction Server. He often acts as a product consultant to influential customers and key business partners. He manages proposal, prioritization and commitment of product development plans. Steve is a Chartered Engineer with over 15 years experience as a software engineer specializing in communications protocols; he was instrumental in introducing TCP/IP implementation into CICS and co-invented CICS Web Support. Recently Steve has focused on improving the application development approach for CICS and drove the formulation and delivery of the new CICS Service Flow Feature in support of composed SOA application solutions. In addition Steve has experience with Business Integration technologies having held positions as an IT Architect and as B2B Product Manager. |
