Schering Modernises Legacy Environment with Seagull Software's LegaSuite®

Seagull Software (AEX: SEAGULL), the leading supplier of software solutions for integrating legacy applications to Internet architectures, announced today that Schering AG has modernised the user interfaces for the iSeries software in Berlin using the presentation integration module of Seagull Software's LegaSuite platform. The interface is also used for the logistics functions of the production subsidiaries in Europe, which run on iSeries legacy platform.
The company required that an English version of the application's previously German-only user interface be remotely accessible in real-time to Scherings's pharmaceutical plants across Europe. With the help of Seagull Software, the logistics staff of the European production companies can now work with an English-language version in real-time. The modernisation initiative was delivered without changes to the core programs, ensuring an extremely fast and highly efficient project implementation.
