ICADE Patrimoine Modernizes Property Information Systems with Seagull Software's LegaSuite®Direct Web Access to Property Information System Helps 400 Caretakers Provide Better Service to LeaseholdersPARIS and ATLANTA – 21 February 2005Seagull Software (AEX: SEAGULL), a leading provider of legacy-aware composite application development technologies, announced today that ICADE Patrimoine (a subsidiary of ICADE, Real Estate department of France Caisse des Dépôts) has selected its LegaSuite software platform as the key technology to provide Web access to the company's Property Information System. ICADE Patrimoine manages 45,000 apartment properties located throughout the Paris metropolitan region. In addition to the 8 agencies dedicated to the marketing and leasing of these apartments, ICADE Patrimoine staffs local offices in each of the company's 45 buildings to service the needs of its many leaseholders. To manage all their properties, ICADE Patrimoine relies on a legacy Property Information System developed in-house called LOGICADE. LOGICADE continues to be an extremely reliable and scalable system and the business logic has been was finely tuned to meet the specific needs of ICADE. However, since the navigation of the system was so complex,it was extremely difficult to use. Only the 8 agencies were given access, limiting the ability of the staff in the welcome offices to service leaseholders. To avoid the cost and risk of re-writing a new application, ICADE Patrimoine decided to leverage the existing business processes and modernize their legacy application with a more intuitive Web interface. After evaluating several solutions, ICADE Patrimoine selected the Web-to-host module of LegaSuite® from Seagull Software. Using LegaSuite, the Web version of LOGICADE is now accessible from 450 desktops, 280 in the agencies and 170 in the welcome offices. "We were immediately impressed with LegaSuite, as it took the Seagull Software team only one week to build a prototype featuring a new graphical interface for LOGICADE," said Marc Renaud, Icade Patrimoine's CIO. "In just 5 months, our team developed an entirely new presentation interface for 600 screens. The caretakers in the welcome offices are now able to edit and print a rent receipt, schedule repairs and order maintenance work such as repainting and electrical updates through an intuitive Web interface. We've dramatically improved our level of customer service and we are now closer to serving the needs of our leaseholders."
