Major Shareholder Increases Stake in Seagull Software

ATLANTA and DORDRECHT, The Netherlands – 28 June 2006

Seagull Software (AEX: SEAGULL), a leading provider of software products for transforming legacy applications into Web services for service-oriented architecture, today announced that, in accordance with the Dutch Securities Board (AFM) regulations requiring shareholders who own 5 percent or more of a company's stock to report their ownership, the Company has received reports of a 10.3 percent shareholding from Mr. Marius Ritskes. Previously Mr. Ritskes held 5.52 percent of shares.

Mr. Ritskes' shares are through Quivest B.V. Additional shareholders who also own more than 5 percent of the shares of Seagull Software include Shell Pensioenfonds Beheer B.V., Fortis Utrecht N.V. and Orange Deelnemingen Fund N.V. and several individual founders of the Company.
