J Walk Authorization Code Request Form

To obtain an authorization code for pre-purchased J Walk or GUI/400 Client licenses, complete and submit the form below.

A Special Note for Our Independent Software Vendor (ISV) End-Users
This authorization code request form is for Seagull Software customers (i.e. those organizations who have purchased software directly from Seagull Software). In addition to software purchased directly from Seagull Software, thousands of users receive J Walk as a part of software purchased from an independent software vendor (ISV). If you have purchased J Walk from an ISV, you will need to contact your ISV vendor directly for authorization codes. Seagull Software cannot fulfill authorization code requests from third parties.

Part II: System Information

Important Notes:

For licensing purposes, if you have an eServer i5 (570,550, 520) or an LPAR'd system and are using the Seagull LMS (License & Message Server) version 4.20 or higher, Seagull Software will determine a System ID based on the combination of your serial, model and LPAR numbers.

If you have already installed the Seagull LMS, you can use the command SEALMS/WRKSEALIC to determine the System ID and fill it in here:

Part V: Tips & FAQs

Client License Authorization Codes authorize a certain number of concurrent users. The number of licenses you indicate will be in addition to any previously authorized for this iSeries serial number. The total number of authorized licenses increases automatically when new codes are entered.

If you have not yet entered previously received authorization codes for this iSeries serial number, please enter all codes in the order in which they were received.

When will I receive a response to my request?

Within one business day.

What if I need my new client license codes right away?

In the Notes/Comments section of this form, please indicate that your request is urgent and we will make every effort to fulfill your request immediately.

Will the new client license codes replace the current codes?

No, codes are cumulative. New client license codes should always be installed in the order in which they were received, and will result in a cumulative total of authorized client licenses.
